A video from that match has resurfaced on Twitter once again after almost 17 years. In that video, the former world number one is seen questioning the chair umpire about what went wrong regarding a point that was unfairly given to the three-time Grand Slam champion, Jennifer Capriati.

Furthermore, those calls were also confirmed to be wrong by the television replay system. However, the American tennis legend maintained her composure even after the terrible call. Eventually, she ended up losing the quarter-finals to her opponent, which created a lot of buzz. Williams was traumatized after the incident
The former world number one highlighted how the Hawk-Eye technology had become a permanent feature in the latter years due to such horrendous calls from the line umpires in an interview from last year. The 41-year-old at the time admitted that the US Open quarterfinals of 2004 were a distressing experience for her since the line umpires began calling her balls out.
