After Sinner’s epic win at the American Slam, Kalinskaya returned to Moscow to spend time with her best friend Erica, a former tennis player. The moment was captured when Kalinskaya and Jabeur were practicing their respective quarterfinals against Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff.

Kalinskaya and Jabeur faced off against each other in last year’s Charleston Open. When the Russian retired in the quarterfinals helping Jabeur to move to the semis, the Tunisian offered a warm hug to Kalinskaya. She also wished a speedy recovery for the Russian player.
