When asked about what kind of impact the former world number one had on the younger generation, including her. She said, “She is such a legend, and she has inspired me in so many ways. You know, doing things her own way. Her and Venus, and just having that inner belief that she can win every single tournament she plays. I mean, she has so many titles. So, it’s something I can draw on… She is incredible.”

Serena has always been an inspiration to the younger generation when it comes to sports. The 21-year-old further added that playing against the legend was super special and talked about how it didn’t go well. The tennis sensation is ready to apply the learning from Serena Williams’ professional career to claim her grand slam in the upcoming tournaments.
Anisimova didn’t have a good season
Anisimova is eagerly waiting to win her first grand slam. But it doesn’t come easily. The Russian- American player was not able to advance to the second round of the US Open. She lost to Yulia Putintseva of Kazakhstan at the opening round of the tournament. The 21-year-old faced an ankle injury earlier this year. She even withdrew her participation from the Cincinnati Masters earlier this year.

This year, the young tennis ace delivered an excellent performance. At the beginning of the year, she triumphed in the Gippsland Trophy Tennis tournament.
