In a recent interview, Elina Svitolina was asked about the possibility of traveling with her daughter, Skai, during tours. With a touch of sadness, she revealed that they opted not to take her along due to health concerns.

Recognizing the demanding nature of tennis, Svitolina emphasized the significance of prioritizing her daughter’s well-being. Constantly traversing the globe to compete brings its share of challenges, from extensive traveling to the lack of familiarity with new surroundings.

“No, she’s at home. We want her to stay home for the health reasons. Health is No. 1 priority for us, and it’s really changing. We know how tiring it can be to travel that much. Tennis requires a lot of traveling, flying, and all this stress. You know, you’re not sleeping in your bed, you are constantly, you know, doing something and different places,” said Elina in the interview.

She further added, “It’s really sad for us, but, you know, we have to put the priority on her health.”

Through FaceTime calls, Svitolina and her partner share precious moments with their daughter, cherishing the smiles on her face. Despite the heartache of separation, they find solace in knowing they are making the best decision for their little one’s health and happiness.
