During an interview, Norman’s ex-wife reacted to the high-profile split between Norman and Evert. She said, “Oh man. I have heard it all now (laughs). It is a surprise to me, I had no idea, I have just found out this morning. I have not been too involved in it. Well, it didn’t come as a surprise. So soon was the surprise.”
Further, she added, “I think we all knew. We didn’t have high hopes for it. But they had been telling everyone how much in love they were, so everybody thought it would last a little longer than this. I said to Andy (Mill – Chris Evert’s ex-husband) when I spoke to him today, `It’s like a bad movie – and we’re in it!’.”

Concluding her remarks, she said, “Oh, such drama. And I am not a drama queen. I like things to go simple and easy. I really don’t miss the drama anymore. It is nice to have a simple life.”
Evert on Serena Williams’ retirement
Earlier this year, Serena announced her retirement from tennis after the US Open. The American legend will be ending her illustrious career after playing for around 25 years. Reacting to this news, Evert said, “She has been the greatest player of this generation.”
