Alexis Ohanian took to Twitter to share a clip from Serena Williams‘ interview, where she gave a jaw-dropping reply. The reporter asked the 23-time grand slam winner, “You could’ve been drawn against the world number 1…“referring to the incumbent world no. 1 Iga Swiatek.

Consequently, to this, Serena Williams confidently replied, “And anyone could have been drawn to me.” She will face French tennis player Harmony Tan in the first round of the Wimbledon.

The most-awaited comeback
Serena Williams will make her comeback at SW19 after a one year of hiatus. The player suffered a hamstring injury last year, which forced her to withdraw from Wimbledon and the rest of the season.

After announcing her comeback, she partnered up with the world no. 2 Ons Jabeur for doubles at the Eastbourne International. However, their journey stopped midway through the tournament as her partner suffered a right knee injury.
