Iga Swiatek has confidently reached another final. The World no.1 recently stunned Coco Gauff in the semis with a scoreline of 6-4, 6-3. While her opponent for the title match is to be decided with a showdown between Aryna Sabalenka and Danielle Collins, she seems to have no interest in who secures the victory.

Soon after ending the hopes of the reigning US Open champion, Swiatek held the mic to express her enthusiasm. On being asked if she would be interested in watching the other semi-final match, the WTA star denied it in such a way that it came out to be a snub for her co-players. “I think it’s too late. It’s better to go eat some risotto or something,” she said, buzzing the arena with high levels of confidence.

Besides denying her own interest in being a spectator for the match that is set to decide her final opponent, the tennis star pushed her coach’s name forward. “For sure my coach will watch and go get ready,” she added, highlighting the fact that her coach Tomasz Wiktorowski will be analyzing the potential of her upcoming match rival for her.

This statement not only dropped hints of a surge in her confidence level but also disregarded the strengths of her co-players. Iga Swiatek, who recently earned the title in Madrid is now looking forward to adding one more in the ongoing clay court season. Although she lacks interest in finding out who her opponent could be, it is evident that the fans are looking forward to sticking to their seats to witness the upcoming showdown.

Iga Swiatek denies possessing dreams of writing history

This season added some golden achievements to Iga Swiatek’s portfolio. As the tennis star proved her dominance in Rome once again, she was asked about her thoughts on carving her name in history books of tennis. Being herself, Swiatek was quick to deny possessing such dreams and therefore mentioned that she just looks forward to the next step.

“Honestly I’m not really thinking about that because it’s kind of a lot. I’m just living my life day by day,” she said, revealing her strategy of moving ahead step by step. Along with that, the tennis star also covered her statement to overlook the potential of semi-finalists as she added, “Whoever’s gonna be in the final, they’re both great players.. really intense tennis. Still a long way to win. Still a lot of work to do.”

Now that she has admitted to being careful about her final opponent in Rome, it still remains to be seen if she will be able to take that next step positively.
