When in Rome, do as the Romans do. And Aryna Sabalenka is following exactly that! Ditching all stress related to tennis, the Australian Open champion recently took some time off her training schedule to match her outfits to the backdrop of Italy’s capital.
Every tennis fan is expecting to see Sabalenka step onto the court in Roma for the semi-final showdown against Danielle Collins. But the latter decided to give fans something to rave about just before match-day. The WTA star captivated the attention of her followers by sharing a quirky update. In her recent Instagram post, the world no.2 can be seen embracing Italian street fashion as she shared pictures of herself in front of a cool spray-painted wall background.
Along with the pictures, the Belarusian star also added a caption to describe the post, saying, “Italian street style 🚖.” Sabalenka isn’t wrong here. A classic tan cross-body bag, flared jeans, and a short jacket are exactly what people love to wear in Rome. Her footwear too looked quite comfortable.

This update came just hours after Aryna Sabalenka managed to stun her quarter-final opponent Jelena Ostapenko. Ending her run for the title with a final scoreline of 6-2, 6-4, the WTA star left no doubts in explaining to the world that she is confident enough to keep moving ahead.

Along with that, the athlete shared another post, where she was seen posing right in front of the Roman Colosseum. “Good food, better view,” she wrote. The structure was commissioned around A.D. 70-72 by Emperor Vespasian of the Flavian dynasty. It was a gift to the Roman communities. Vespasian’s son Titus opened the Colosseum in A.D. 80 and it was officially recognized as the Flavian Amphitheater. It would see 100 days of games. Think gladiatorial combats and wild animal fights, per History.com.

As Sabalenka continues to make her presence in Rome count, it still remains to be seen if she will be able to extend her run to lay hands on the glorious Italian Open trophy. However, coming to the point of Sabalenka channeling her inner model, she revealed her new pieces from Nike’s new 2024 Paris Collection just a few days back.
Aryna Sabalenka is rocking in her new Dri-FIT Tennis Dress with a French twist
The first glimpse of Aryna Sabalenka’s new uniforms, which are part of Nike’s 2024 Paris Collection, surfaced on social media on Tuesday. Sabalenka will be competing on the courts at Roland Garros wearing these outfits. She made a statement when she won the Australian Open this year by donning her own distinctive colorway from the gear release.
She appears to be prepared to do the same in Paris, where she will look amazing in the Terre battue-hued ‘Rust Factor’ orange NikeCourt Slam Women’s Dri-FIT Tennis Dress. The high neckline, keyhole back cutout, and pink or red colorway of the dress quickly make Sabalenka’s silhouette recognizable, yet the pattern is brand-new with a French twist.

The dress has Nike’s interpretation of a moiré pattern, which is the result of repeated prints overlapping and inadvertently forming a new pattern. Usually, an error in the printing process causes this, but in this instance, the resultant “happy accident” (as Bob Ross would say) is an ethereal, swirling optical illusion.

Nike’s Paris collection features separates including tanks, tees, skirts, and more, and the print will be featured on a number of them. So the tennis star has a lot of options to choose from.
However, fans have immense hope for Sabalenka in the upcoming French Open. Will she be able to fulfill it? Only time can tell! What are your thoughts about her style statement? Let us know in the comment section below.
