Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, has epitomized the quote ‘It takes a village to raise a child’ since childhood. He has seen what it takes to have a good education in America. And recently, as he recalled a childhood memory, he might have shared his take on the American educational system.

The 39-year-old entrepreneur has studied in various public schools and has been a part of the educational circuit in the country throughout his life. But now, with the passage of time, things have changed, and the academic structure has also evolved.

The Reddit co-founder recently took to his Twitter account to share an old memory of his family, and with that, he also shared a great deal from his past and took a jab at the American education. He shared a picture of his grandparents along with his mother, standing with the younger version of the 39-year-old entrepreneur.

As a part of the caption, he first shared who is in the picture with proper references. He wrote, “Mom, Oma, Grandpa, Grandma (L -> R).” Further, he completed the caption with an appreciation for his people, who moved to provide better education for him. He added, “My folks moved us from Brooklyn / Queens to Howard County Maryland for the public schools (shoutout Thunder Hill). It takes a village.”

He revealed that his mother followed his father to America and lived as an undocumented person till she got married. Additionally, he has always been grateful to his parents and believes that they are the biggest reason behind his successful marriage with the former tennis player.
