Coco Gauff, the American tennis prodigy, has rapidly become one of the most talked-about young talents in the sport. Bursting onto the scene with her incredible run at Wimbledon in 2019, Gauff has continued to impress fans and experts. As the tennis world looks forward to the upcoming grass-court season, Gauff is set to compete at the Rothesay International in Eastbourne, a relatively quiet and low-key tournament compared to the frenzy of Wimbledon.
For the 19-year-old sensation, this tranquil setting may provide the perfect environment to prepare for the challenges that lie ahead. In a recent interview, Gauff expressed how she likes to be surrounded by fewer media and reporters and it gives her the perfect chance to rest before Wimbledon.

The Rothesay International, held at the picturesque Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club, offers competitors a chance to acclimate to the unique playing conditions of grass courts while avoiding the intense media scrutiny that often accompanies the larger tournaments on the tennis calendar.
For Gauff, this opportunity to focus on her game without the constant glare of the international press may be particularly appealing.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Gauff mentioned how the media hangs on to every word she says in a press conference. And sitting with less reporters in Rothesay is better for her. She also said, “It is a good break from the tour”. Eastbourne reminds her of the place where she lives which is Delray Beach in Florida. To which she added, “It comes from a place in my heart”.
Gauff is surely making the most of her time before the crazy town hits her during the Wimbledon Championships. However, as one of the most talented players prepares for her run at glory, another has had an awful time in 2023. It is none other than the British sensation, Emma Raducanu. Her plight has certainly caught the eye of the American teenage sensation.
