Venus Williams, a tennis legend known for her incredible skill and poise on the court, recently shared her desire to explore a different kind of performance – acting. In particular, she expressed her fascination with the wildly popular Netflix series, Bridgerton, and her dream of taking on a role fit for a queen in its Regency-era setting.

She even went ahead and addressed Shondaland, the production house of the TV show, to cast her in the next episode of Bridgerton. Responding to her request for being cast as a ‘Queen’ in the infamous series, one of the stars of the series, Corey Mylchreest, posted on social media tagging her. And he didn’t just respond to her request, he responded to her story the ‘tennis way’.

Venus Williams is highly active and goofy with her fans on social media. So one day when she woke up with a ‘royal hairdo’, she used it as an excuse to act in Bridgerton. She even came up with a storyline that would be good for her despite the fact that she does not have much acting skills.

Owing to her fascination for the series and acting as a queen, Corey responded to her request. He made a video and added it to his Instagram story. He cleverly used tennis puns in his response to give Venus fans and Bridgerton fans something to rejoice about.

It said, “Oh hi there Venus, did not expect to see you there. Now I know you have been on top of the tennis game for some time, but I didn’t expect it to mean that you be so good at this type of ‘courtship’.

Further, he added, “It breaks my heart that you weren’t the Venus I was originally told about. But like that Venus, you are also out of this world. Now I will leave this in terms that you will understand, I have never been good at predictions, but this is going to be a ‘love-all’.

He used words like ‘love-all’ which is a tennis scoring used to signify a score of zero for both parties and ‘court-ship’ to identify a tennis court as well as a man trying to woo his love interest. His cute response to Venus’ request is definitely heart-warming and complete fun for fans of tennis and, of course, the renowned Netflix series.

Although Venus is having fun off the court, she hasn’t taken a backseat as far as her career on the WTA Tour is concerned.

Venus is ready to hit the court again in Birmingham Classic Tournament

Despite her comeback loss at the Libema Open, Venus did not lose her spirit. She posted fun stories of hitting the gym after the match to prepare herself for the next tournament, which is the Birmingham Classic. She is a wildcard entry for the tournament.
