Concerningly, the 39-year-old did not receive what she set out for at Italian Open and Emilia-Romagna Open. At these two events, Serena only won one match in Parma.

Consequently, her result in Paris is under serious question. But the American is optimistic about playing on clay and improving in time.

Additionally, the major tournaments are different than the rest of the tennis events in nature. For this, Williams will have more experience than all her opponents, a considerable advantage for her, for she played her first French Open in 1998.

Most significantly, the American professional is chasing her long-awaited 24th Grand Slam title since the 2017 Australian Open triumph. It will bring her equal to Margaret Court’s most Grand Slam titles record in tennis history. But for that, she will have to go defeat some immensely talented tennis players.
