Much like her R1 opponent, Aryna Sabalenka, Emina Bektas is not going to leave the courts of Wimbledon without giving her best on-court on July 1st! While on-court, Moore, a British WTA player herself, will partner with Sara Beth Grey, off-court, her partnership with Bektas once left their fans in awe. But how did their love story begin? Their common interest in tennis ultimately led the lovebirds to meet for the first time during a match. Although the exact timeline of their first meeting is not known, according to sources, they instantly became good friends after that. Moore, a Hong Kong-born player who won nine singles and 17 doubles titles in her career during the ITF Circuit, soon started dating her fellow WTA colleague, Bektas. As their bond grew, they also married each other!

However, along with their off-court chemistry, their on-court partnership also turned heads in the tennis world. Both played doubles together on-court and finished as runner-ups during a final match in the W60 Las Vegas. The partners, who ended the match with a score of 7-6(5), 7-5 against Quinn Gleason and Tereza Mihalková, won their fans’ hearts with their amazing talent on-court.

Moore, after turning pro back in 2010, also had a long-term relationship with former doubles player Conny Perrin. However, after it ended, Moore, who states her favorite surface is grass, fell in love with the 31-year-old player, Emina Bektas. But unfortunately, they are not married anymore. According to sources, both have split and gone their separate ways.

After experiencing a dark phase in her career, where she faced doping violations and remained suspended from tennis for 19 months, Tara Moore came back on-court in 2024. Interestingly, after her return, she reached her first final at the Surbiton Trophy and guess who she played against? It was Emina Bektas! However, as she shared her thrill, Moore posted a photo alongside the Wimbledon logo at London. In that snap, she is celebrating her comeback to Wimbledon with her partner, who goes by the name Khloe on Instagram! 

Embracing her, the picture showcased her adorable moment with her girlfriend. On that post, which has the caption, “💜💚🚀,” Khloe responded, “Thankful to be experiencing this by your side ❤️.” As both Emina Bektas and Tara Moore continue their journey in tennis in their separate ways, the tennis world will always remember the duo’s on-court and off-court chemistry!
