Barbora Krejcikova isn’t just a force on the tennis court; she’s got a playful side that keeps fans guessing about her off-court life too! While fans keep a close watch on her stellar performances, her love life occasionally steals the spotlight. Speculations swirling around her and her coach, Pavel Motl have often taken center stage. While both of them have remained tight-lipped about the discussion, the Czech star has opened given some positive signs about the speculations and one such incident took place at Wimbledon this year.

The star player took to her Instagram to engage in a Q&A session with her fans.  As soon as the window was open, a user was quick to reignite the conversation of her relationship with Pavel and quizzed, “Will Pavel propose to you if you win Wimbledon? 🥰” While Krejcikova did not admit anything, she did not deny the speculations either. Giving a cheeky response, she mentioned, “Pavel says he hasn’t thought about it yet but he thanks for the idea!” Interestingly, this was not an isolated incident.

In yet another Q&A, the 28-year-old was asked the same question, as they wrote, “Are you and Pavel a couple?” What followed was a cheeky reply from Krejcikova. “What do you think?” the player asked. The fan too, wasted no time in giving a judgment and said, “Yes because love always wins.” Once again, the player had a very cryptic reply and used a GIF that said “I guess we’ll never know now…will we?” For the unversed, the bond between Motl and Krejcikova is not new. 

Motl joined the Czech star’s team after she decided to part ways with her former coach Ales Kartus in 2023. It was then that Motl transitioned from being a hitting partner to a coach and since then, the speculations about their romantic relationship have been discussed by fans. However, the two have known each other since childhood and share a close bond. A graduate in psychology and sports management from the University of Tennessee, Motl was a student-athlete who first met Krejcikova during a junior tournament. He too, has expressed high regard for the player’s skills which gave rise to the rumors. 

Speaking in an interview earlier, Motl opened up about the inspiring trait of Krejcikova’s character. “She’s (Krejcikova) a real fighter, but she can be stubborn. Sometimes it’s hard to work with such a character, sometimes it’s easy,” he said. However, he revealed that he enjoys working with her because she’s “very smart” and “very experienced.” and believes that their strong connection is a good fit for their professional career. But for now, the focus of Krejcikova and Motl will be on the WTA finals where the star player will attempt to oust her opponents remarkably.

Barbora Krejcikova proved her mettle yet again after winning the Wimbledon title this year. However, she has not been able to demonstrate something exceptional since then and has witnessed surprising and early defeats in some of the tournaments she has played recently. But now, she seems to be motivated yet again to take on all the challenges that may come her way. 

In an interview with the press ahead of the WTA finals, the star player said, “I feel good physically and motivated to win matches again.” She also highlighted her perspective on the ever-changing aspect of the sport and expressed determination. “Women’s tennis is evolving a lot; I sense that the level is improving every week, and the demand is at its peak. Despite that, I am learning to enjoy this sport and all that comes with being a professional tennis player.” And it will be fascinating to see if she can repeat her Wimbledon dominance yet again.

But what remains more interesting to see is whether Krejcikova or Motl would come out to admit their relationship or deny it from scratch. Are the two actually dating? Well, there is still uncertainty despite the buzzing rumors.
