And it applies to the rising Czech tennis star Linda Noskova as well, who has forever idolized Williams. Currently, Noskova is playing at the Australian Open and has her fourth round tomorrow of the tournament against Elina Svitolina.

And we are sure all she must be thinking about is how Serena Williams made it to the top. Per Noskova, Serena Williams has adorned her bedroom wall for years in a black and white poster. In fact, for the Czech prodigy, the 23x Grand Slam winner reigns supreme over the Big 3!

Last year in an interview, Linda Noskova shared how she idolizes the younger Williams sister. After winning the Roland Garros girls’ singles title in 2021, all Noskova wanted was to get a chance to play with Serena Williams because she was a larger-than-life icon for her.

She shared, “We can just hear her words, hear her talking, and it’s really inspiring all the time. I don’t know for how long I’ve had her poster above my bed. I love her.” Not just that, Noskova also shared how she had always wanted a picture with the Williams sisters as well as a good luck charm.

Linda Noskova shared, “Actually, I just wanted to have a picture with Serena or Venus before the tournament. Like, this might be my last chance to do that.” This was before Serena Williams retired.

Her fangirling was also felt through her social media when one of her fans asked her to choose someone from the Big 3 in a question-and-answer game and she chose Serena Williams over the 3.

And we all know how it is right to say that when you aspire for something hard enough and long enough, the universe pushes you to get it. The same thing happened with Linda Noskova when she was finally able to meet her tennis idol in person in the US Open draw.

When the US Open draw results were announced in 2022, the Czech tennis star realized that she would be playing the doubles against the Williams sisters. Linda Noskova said, “When I looked at the draw, I was pretty shocked. So, that was pretty exciting for me. And I’m gonna cherish the moment like, probably forever. It was definitely the best tennis moment for me so far.”

Being able to play against the person you have idolized for years must have been magical for her. That is probably the reason why the picture she took that day with the sisters is everywhere on her phone, above her bed, notebook, as she later confessed.
