Polish tennis prodigy Iga Swiatek revealed the name of the WTA star with whom she would like to enjoy dinner and conversation about tennis. Swiatek being a fan recommended her favorite WTA legend Steffi Graf’s name. From seeking inspiration from Graf’s tennis brilliance to trying to match the German legend’s doubles record, Swiatek has been an ardent admirer of the legend. Now she mentioned Graff’s name again revealing the latter’s impact on her life.

Recently, on the celebration of Women’s Day, Swiatek mentioned Graf’s name as her inspiration along with Serena Williams. It clearly showed the reason behind Swiatek’s wish to have the tennis-related conversation with Steffi Graf at the dinner table.

Recently, in a press conference, Swiatek was asked by an interviewer about a tennis star with whom she would like to have a conversation about life and tennis. In her response, Swiatek directly named Steffi Graf. When the Interviewer asked her for reasons, Swiatek delved deeper. She said- “Well, her mentality and how she handled, you know, suddenly being the best player out there and how she felt with it personally.”

Now Swiatek’s revelation about Steffi Graf expressed that this Polish tennis prodigy is motivated by 22-time Grand Slam champion Steffi Graf. Previously, Swiatek mentioned Graf as her idol on Women’s Day.

Iga Swiatek chooses Steffi Graf as her “hero” on Women’s Day

Swiatek was featured on the Women’s Day celebration by Porsche after winning their Grand Prix last year. While asking about her heroes, Swiatek commented– “On this women’s day, I want to talk to you about my women’s childhood heroes. For sure, because I play tennis Steffi Graf and Serena Williams are my heroes. They shaped our sport and paved the way for a better future for us and I’m always gonna be grateful for that.”

She further added: “Now I got say that my biggest inspiration is actually the women that I work with. I have many women on my team. They motivate me to move forward and to work harder. They are people I can lean on sometimes. I’m grateful for having a support like that.”

Iga Swiatek’s revelation about Steffi Graf represents Swiatek’s true fangirling over the WTA legend. At the same time, it also represented Swiatek as a flagbearer of powerful women, who never fail to inspire others.
