The stage is all set in California to kick-start the tennis festival at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Men’s and women’s main draw events are set to take place from March 6 and will go on till March 17. But before that, let’s have a look at the qualifiers lined up for the next few hours. She faced a similar early exit in her next tournament in Puerto Vallarta. But Townsend finally sealed a victory in her first match at the ATX Open but got defeated in her next match at the hands of China’s Yue Yuan. 

Taylor Townsend’s best performance at the Indian Wells came in 2013,2014,2015 when she reached the second round. But last year she faced defeat in the qualifiers at the hands of Ukraine’s Lesia Tsurenko. What will happen this time around? She was the runner-up at the inaugural edition of the International Junior Championships held at the site of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells last year.
