American tennis stars Jessica Pegula and Coco Gauff have showcased an amazing partnership in doubles tennis. However, this successful partnership has not been spotted since last year October. In August 2023, these two tennis prodigies withdrew from the Citi Open. After almost a year, Jessica Pegula and Coco Gauff paired up for an exciting double at the ongoing Indian Wells tournament. Now Gauff has revealed her feelings about this match.

Reaching Rolland Garros’s finals last year to earning five WTA titles, Pegula-Gauff’s partnership has been the talk of the town for quite some time. After almost a year, these two tennis stars showcased a brilliant performance giving reasons about why this partnership should last long.

Coco Gauff shares how much she “missed” her doubles matches

Gauff who is enjoying the last few days of her teenage before she turns twenty next week, shared a clip of the BNP Paribas Open 2024 on her Instagram Story. In this clip, fans spotted Gauff donning a neon-colored tennis outfit matched with a purple headband.

Gauff was making serves in the clip and she was also seen hugging her doubles partner Jessica Pegula. Sharing this clip, Gauff wrote- “my first doubles match since November lol. i missed ittt!” Gauff’s video was jointly shared by the official Instagram page of the BNP Paribas Open/ Indian Wells and WTA.

The tennis fraternity agrees that besides doubles being the secondary objectives for Pegula and Gauff, both the American tennis stars did quite well on balancing both as they reached two quarterfinals in 2023. Gauff has been always positive about her partnership with Pegula. She once commented- “it’s hard now to stop completely, when you have such good results with a player who comes from the same country as you.”

Pegula and Gauff’s partnership won five WTA titles to date including 1000 WTA Masters in Toronto, Qatar, and Miami. Now this duo mesmerized the fraternity by showcasing an excellent performance at the ongoing Indian Wells tournament.

Tennis stars Jessica Pegula and Coco Gauff made America proud again by pulling off a great victory against Sofia Kenin and Bethanie Mattek-Sands. The American tennis prodigies defeated Kenin and Mattek-Sands by 7-5 and 6-3. Given that both Sofia Kenin and Bethanie Mattek-Sands are strong players, Gauff and Pegula’s victory wasn’t very smooth. However, they still managed to pull their victory against the opponents.

Coco Gauff’s message after her doubles win with Jessica Pegula showed that this former US Open champion was missing out on her old doubles days with colleague Pegula. In fact, the way they pulled off a victory after nearly a year was truly commendable.
