Eugenie Bouchard, the Canadian tennis ace and the former World No.5 was at the peak of her tennis career in 2014. After she claimed the 2012 Wimbledon Girl’s title, Bouchard was named WTA Newcomer of the year in 2013. Thereafter, she made her way up to the finals of the 2014 Wimbledon championship. And became the first-ever Canada-born Canadian player to reach the Grand Slam finals. Following that, she fought for a ticket to the finals of the 2014 Australian and French Open.

However, after 2014, her game went down a steep slope and eventually made her step out of the top 100 of WTA in 2018. Later in the year 2021, Bouchard suffered a shoulder injury at Monterrey Open. Since then she is keeping out of the circuit. Though she maintains her bond with her fans by regularly updating them about her life via social media. Recently, she traveled to Miami to be a part of the Miami GP and shared an array of stories and posts on Instagram.

Bouchard graced the event with a purple dress and a white handbag. After having an eventful day at the Hard Rock Stadium, she took on Instagram to share her experience with her fans. She wrote, ” The Newest F1 groupie! Thank you Red Bull racing for having us.” Apart from Eugenie, the Williams duo and Caroline Wozniacki also attended the event.

Speaking of the Canadian’s comeback, she recently appeared as a special guest in the ‘Pardon My Take’ podcast. In the podcast interview, she spoke about how she plans to play in the French Open this year.

However, with her current ranking, the only way for her to take part in the tournament is through a wild card entry.
What Is Bouchard Up to These Days?
Bouchard wanted to take part in the Palm Harbour Tennis Tournament and Billie Jean King Cup, but her shoulder hasn’t fully recovered. Therefore, in order to not put too much pressure on her recovering shoulder, the former world no.5 played a few exhibition matches against some of the American tennis stars, like Sofia Kenin and Alison Riske. Thus, taking small and careful steps to regain her lost connection with tennis.

Further, no one knows how to balance their personal and professional life better than Bouchard. She recently attended an 8Am Golf event hosted by Justin Timberlake to get rid of the fatigue from the practice sessions and catch up with her friends.
