Making a comeback after a year to the singles format, Venus is busy polishing her skills for the US Open. However, recently, the 42-year-old took some time off from her intense training to show a glimpse of her fun side by giving a hilarious answer to a fan.

Venus Williams not willing to play night sessions
The seven-time Grand Slam champ is one of the most loved players in the tennis world. Reciprocating the same love, Venus often organizes a Q&A session with her fans on Instagram. Yesterday was just another day of the same. Taking out time from her training schedule for the Cincinnati Open, the 7-time Grand Slam champion organized a Q&A session on the Instagram page of her lifestyle brand, Eleven by Venus.

Considering her majestic aura, it goes without saying that the floor, in no time, was flooded with questions. While some questions revolved around her game, others talked about her personal life. However, amongst the many questions, a question that stood out was from a fan who asked Venus, “If you were Prime Minister for a day, what changes would you make?”
In a career spanning close to three decades, Williams has played close to 1100 singles matches to date. Out of these, a large part has been night matches. Needless to say, being a player with such vast experience, Venus has her fair share of both day and night sessions on tennis courts. Thus, she answered, “I would eliminate the second night match in tennis and then immediately resign.”

Playing the North American swing, Venus clearly has no choice but to deal with the night sessions. Following her first round losses in the Citi Open and the Canadian open, the American great is next set to play the Cincinnati Masters. Following which, she will next head to the US Open. Both of these tournaments feature a couple of matches in the evening sessions.
