Serena dismissed the question on grunting at Wimbledon 2015
After her win in the quarter-finals against Victoria Azarenka at Wimbledon 2015, a reporter posed the American player a question about her take on the reaction of the crowd when female players grunt. It is worth noting that this reaction was absent or very minimal when male players grunted during their matches.

Serena Williams seemed uninterested in following the recurrent topic. She said, “I’m done with controversy. I can’t. I’m tired. I have to do ice bath.” However, she did not refute from exploring some other topic. She said, “If you have any other questions, I’m cool, but, you know, I’m done with that.”
Her opponent, however, Victoria Azarenka, showed her discontent with the crowd. The player did not like that the crowd focused on an insignificant area such as grunting.

Moving on, the 23-time grand slam winner is back in the grass court major after a year’s hiatus because of a hamstring injury. The aim of the tennis legend, undoubtedly, would be to clinch her 24th grand slam title.
