It has been quite a few years since Emma Raducanu burst onto the scene in the tennis circuit and won the US Open as a teenager. Since then, tennis fans have been waiting for her to rise to the occasion. However, due to multiple injuries and fitness issues, the Brit was unable to avail the opportunities that came her way. Even this season itself, the Brit star played at selective tournaments. She withdrew from the Asian swing due to another injury. However, Raducanu seems to be ready for the 2025 season, as she eagerly awaits to start her practice.
This season, Raducanu just played 31 games before the Billie Jean King Cup, and is ranked at World No. 58. However, she is hoping to have a blast next season. “I’m just excited and itching to the practice court. I know I’m a dangerous player. I know no one wants to pull my name in the draw, I take pride in that, and I’m looking forward to hopefully staying in court longer next year,” she was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
After several early round exits this season, Raducanu finally re-discovered her form at the Grass swing. The Brit star showcased immense grit as she ousted her first big fish in Jessica Pegula at the Rothesay International.

Raducanu carried her form to the Wimbledon Championships as she made it to the round of 16. She hoped to make it big at the Asian swing. But an unprecedented ligament injury to her foot dashed her hopes. However, she has now recovered to represent Team GB at the BJK Cup in Malaga.
Raducanu has made a strong comeback with her straight-set win over Rebecca Marino, of Team Canada. The Brit had a mixed 2024 season, but her fans are hopeful about what lies ahead. While Raducanu is itching to step back onto the court for the next season, her BJK run has given her an extra boost to fight a bit harder.

Nobody anticipated that Emma Raducanu would come back fit after suffering from a ligament injury. However, the 22-year-old Brit star surprised everyone with not just a comeback, but a terrific performance at the BJK Cup. Raducanu, along with compatriot, Katie Boulter, fought hard to secure the team Great Britain’s place in the final four, without dropping a set in the singles. This performance certainly acted as a morale booster for the 2021 US Open champion.
Speaking after the match, she said, “It definitely is. My BJK Cup performances have brought very good things out of me. I think it’s the same for everyone. We all just fight even harder and dig in a little bit more. It’s an honor to represent my country.” Rightly so, there are no individual results in the BJK Cup despite playing individual matches.
Raducanu was always confident when she arrived in Malaga for the BJK Cup, she previously said, “Mentally, I feel like I am in a better place to compete now than I ever have been since the US Open. It’s going to probably take me some tournaments to get up to speed, but once I do, I think I’m in a better headspace to compete now.”
