Even in the mixed doubles category, the 21-year-old managed to secure a win, as her team is now set up for an encounter against Novak Djokovic-led Serbia. Ahead of their exciting matchup, Zheng and Djokovic shared a lighthearted moment during the former’s press conference.

The 24-time singles Grand Slam champion crashed Zheng’s press conference in Perth, as he was sighted waving at her from the doorway. A video clip of the Serb’s kind gesture was brought to light by a Twitter fan page, which captioned it, “When world No. 15, Zheng Qinwen, meets Novak Djokovic at a press conference at the United Cup.”

The Chinese WTA star was left awestruck after his ‘idol’ made a surprising appearance as she hastily shouted to stop Djokovic for an autograph. She was heard saying, “My idol, don’t go! I haven’t gotten your autograph yet.”
