Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka has four Grand Slam titles to her name at such a young age. However, the past few months have been testing times for the 24-year-old. After taking a break from tennis citing mental health issues, the former world no.1 has struggled with form and multiple injuries.

Owing to her success on the tour, the 24-year-old has become one of the most popular current generation players. Her fame was particularly on show during her appearance on the Ellen show.

Ellen teases Osaka over Brad Pitt

When Osaka appeared on the Ellen Show, the 24-year-old looked reserved and shy. To open her up, the host teased her if she would like to meet with Brad Pitt. Here’s the full conversation.

“Ellen: Brad Pitt is here. Did you meet Brad?

Osaka: No

Ellen: Well, you should.

Osaka: Well, I was hiding, so that I didn’t have to bump into him.

Ellen: Isn’t he adorable though, don’t you wanna meet him?

Osaka: Do you want to meet Brad?”

Osaka was introverted and spoke very little, but Ellen somehow found a way to entertain the fans with this conversation.

Injury scare for Naomi Osaka

Naomi Osaka made her return to the tour in the Silicon Valley Classic, where she won her first match before crashing out after losing to Coco Gauff. Further, she tplayed the Canadian Open, where the Japanese struggled with a back issue from the start of the match. Later, she got some medical aid on court but was unable to continue further.

Osaka has also registered for the Cincinnati Masters and is scheduled to play her first match tomorrow. However, there has been no update from the 24-year-old about her injury.

As the US Open is set to begin later this month, this injury might ruin her chances to play in the last Grand Slam of the year.
