Serena Williams, the 23-time Grand Slam champion, apart from tennis, is also a big thing in the fashion industry. She has always had a thing for fashion. In fact, when younger going against her father/coach’s will, she got her ears pierced.
Williams now has her own clothing line, and her outfits on tours were always something to look up to. Further, earlier in an interview, she herself spoke about her love for fashion.

Serena Williams detailed the aspects of her relation with fashion
Williams sat down for an interview with Vogue while pregnant with Olympia and disclosed her interest in and knowledge about the entire fashion industry. She said, “My feet are really in this. For me, there was only one thing I connected to the way I’ve connected to tennis, and that’s been fashion.”
Thereafter, she added. “If you give me a garment, I can tell you what the fabric is, how it’s made, why something can or can’t be done because of the draping, et cetera. Who knows? Maybe I would have won more grand slams if I had been 100 percent tennis.”
She then whispered and said, “I should have 30 already.” Serena has been an active participant in the fashion industry and has even walked many high-profile red carpets. This year only alongside her elder sister Venus Williams she attended the Academy Awards.
The seven times Wimbledon champion shined in a custom Gucci dress paired with black lace gloves. Whereas Venus, who also happens to have a thing for fashion, dolled in a white Elie Saab gown with a silver lining for the event. Further, last year she attended the Met Gala superhero-inspired Gucci bodysuit with embellished stars and feather laden cape.

Speaking of Serena’s brand, S by Serena she started the brand in 2014 after gaining an understanding of the industry by working in collaboration with Nike and HSN.
What is Williams up to these days?
The former World no.1 hung her racket this season after making a comeback in the green of London. She executed her last run in the home-based US Open and stepped into the second phase of her life. Now Williams will divert her energy towards expanding her business empire horizontally as well as vertically.

Further, she desires to make many more memories with her family, and see her little princess grow. The five-year-old Olympia supported her mother throughout her retirement tour and shall now see her mother through her next big adventure.
