‘I Paid Them..’ – Martina Navratilova Once Revealed How She Couldn’t Figure Out the Biggest Riddle While Raising Two Daughters With Wife Julia Lemigova

The former Czech-American tennis player Martina Navratilova is one of the best tennis players of all time. Along with that, she was also one of the most courageous athletes, as she openly talked about her issues that were controversial during the 80s and the 90s.

Currently, the 18-time Grand Slam champion is happily married to former Russian model, Julia Lemigova. Notably, Lemigova had two daughters, as Navratilova talked about facing difficulties while trying to teach them one simple thing.

Martina Navratilova faced a tough time teaching her wife’s kids

Back in 2018, the former tennis player, Navratilova, sat down with Tyler Cowen for an interview, where she talked about many incidents from her life. During that interview, Cowen asked Navratilova about one particular question she asks herself on a regular basis. In reply, Navratilova gave a funny answer.

“I’ve been married now for three years, been with Julia almost 10 years. Her two daughters are 16 and 12. The question I ask myself most often these days is what can I say to them so that they will actually put the dishes in the dishwasher rather than just leave them in the sink?” Navratilova answered. 

“I have not solved that riddle. I don’t know. Take away the iPhone? No, that doesn’t work. Driving privileges? No, I don’t know. I’ve run out. Being nice? Give money? I did that too. I paid them,” Navratilova further said about trying many things to get her two daughters to learn.

During Lemigova’s modeling days, Navratilova met her for the first time in Paris. Almost eight years later, they met again and fell in love. Eventually, in 2014, they tied the knot at a very private ceremony.

Currently, Navratilova and Lemigova are living in Miami. Moreover, the former Russian model owns a farm, where she takes care of goats, chickens, and many other farm animals.
