Reaching a successful stage in your life is obviously not easy. And that is true even for Danielle Collins who recently shared her experience through the time from her childhood to her late teens as well.

In the interview, she shared how at one point she did not have enough money to support herself. And also, how she took her time to turn pro and she is happy about it. Collins added, “At 18 years old, I had $0 in my name. I felt like the best way to set myself up for success was college. It allowed me to evolve and grow as a person and an athlete. It gave me the time to physically and mentally develop, which was important. If I had turned pro at a young age, I would not have been in the right place from a maturity standpoint to be able to have the career that I would have wanted to have.

There are very few players who are happier with late success. But Collins is one of them as she feels that having that success later made her value it more and manage it well too. Further, she also shared in the interview how she would manage to make money when she wanted to watch tennis tournaments.
