Any discussion about Women’s tennis will be incomplete without mentioning her name. However, the former world number once revealed that she does not love the sport. It’s strange to even imagine Serena saying this. However, this is what she said.
Serena doesn’t love tennis
In what could be called a shocking admission, back in 2012, Serena Williams revealed that she does not love tennis. In fact, she doesn’t love any sports. “I mean, I don’t love tennis today, but I’m here, and I can’t live without it. So I’m here and don’t want to go anywhere anytime soon… It’s not that I’ve fallen out of love; I’ve actually never liked sports,” she said.
Further, Serena said she hates anything that includes physical activity and would rather love sitting down or shopping. “I never understood how I became an athlete … I don’t like working out, I don’t like anything that has to do with working physically … Anything that involves sitting down or shopping I am excellent at that,” she added.
Even without interest, the legend has ruled the game, which makes us wonder what she would have done if she loved tennis.
