All the arduous hours she has put into the court since she was young has contributed to her unparalleled legacy. The player recently partnered with Credo Beauty to launch a sunscreen for all skin tones. She elaborated more on why sunscreen has become an essential part of her and why it should be for everyone.

Importance of sunscreen for Venus Williams
Venus Williams is a seven-time grand slam winner and has achieved that feat by being diligent in following her passion. She has practiced for long hours in the sun and knows how much the sun can affect the skin. She launched two sunscreens for all skin tones in a collaboration with Credo Beauty. Venus said, “Skin is the biggest organ on the body, so it’s important we are doing our part to take care of it and protect it.”

Inspiration from mother and sister
She confessed she hadn’t been too mindful of her skin earlier, but is now well invested in looking after it. Venus said, “My mom taught me from a young age the importance of taking care of my skin…[but] it took me a while to fully understand the importance of sunscreen.” , Venus stated that she looked up to her sister, Serena Williams and took inspiration from her. She said, “It wasn’t until I was in my mid-30s when I noticed Serena practicing in long sleeves, a hat, and sunscreen that it clicked for me that I should be protecting my skin too–I didn’t want to become a raisin!”

Skincare routine of Venus
Now, Venus does not forget to put on sunscreen because she has to practice for long hours in the sun. “It has become the most important step in my beauty routine, ” she said. Other than that, she also puts on a hat and wears long sleeves to protect her skin. Moreover, she talked about her priority in her skincare. She said, “One thing I definitely prioritize is sleep!”. She makes sure to have it nice even when she is traveling around the world.
