Iga Swiatek was starstruck by Taylor Swift at a concert as she likened the moment to hitting the jackpot! Ahead of Wimbledon, the world number one joined thousands of fans at Liverpool’s Anfield football stadium for the singer’s latest stop on her Eras Tour. Swiatek recently revealed, beaming with excitement, how the pop music diva’s performance kept her up all night with excitement.

The five-time Grand Slam champion will aim to capture her first Wimbledon title starting next week. Despite never advancing beyond the quarterfinals at the All-England Club, the Polish tennis player believes this year could be different. Adding to her excitement, she shared her ‘Swiftie’ experience during a pre-tournament press conference.

She stated, “It was amazing. I actually was thinking about going here for the second time. My team was like, ‘Okay…’ Basically after this concert, like three days after I was so excited I couldn’t sleep and everything. We decided it’s better to focus on the tournament. But it was a great experience.”

In a lighthearted moment, Swiatek revealed that attending Taylor Swift’s concert in Liverpool had slightly disrupted her preparations for the prestigious Wimbledon tournament. The Polish tennis player jokingly mentioned that the concert had affected her sleep routine afterward, but added that she would have happily attended another show if her team hadn’t intervened.

During a press conference for the Madrid Open in April, Swiatek—who has often expressed her admiration for the country singer-turned-pop megastar—jokingly attempted to convince Swift’s agent to get tickets to a concert. Following this, Swiatek was overjoyed to receive a handwritten message from the Grammy winner, which added a personal touch to an already amazing experience, even though juggling her professional obligations proved to be difficult.
