‘I am Iron Man’: Serena Williams’ Daughter Olympia Repeats Iconic Marvel Dialogue While Playing With Father Alexis Ohanian.

40-year-old tennis megastar Serena Williams has not played professionally in a while. Nevertheless, she’s been keeping busy with a string of entrepreneurial ventures.

Moreover, time off the court has translated to more time with her family for Serena, especially her daughter Olympia. Even when Serena’s not around, 4-year-old Olympia Ohanian always has her father with her.

Be it taking her to Disney World under the pretext of sock-shopping or family baking nights, Olympia always has her parents around. Today, Alexis Ohanian, father to Olympia and Serena Williams’ husband, spent time with Olympia on a cupcake playdate. In fact, he even taught her ‘the fundamentals’ about some Marvel comics superheroes.

Alexis Ohanian spends cupcake time with daughter Olympia

Alexis Ohanian took to his Instagram stories to share the time he was spending with his daughter Olympia. However, Serena Williams was not there. She is presumably busy after her movie ‘King Richard’ bagged six Oscar nominations.

Little Olympia showed off her plastic mini-cupcakes to her dad, describing the toppings and icing she used in her ‘baking’. “A wonderful bake, masterfully done,” Alexis encouraged Olympia, as she showed off more of her mini-cupcakes.

In fact, Olympia was baking the cakes as per the Disney princesses that featured on the cupcake set. When it came time to taste-test the cupcakes, Alexis pointed out that he had forgotten the toppings for his own cupcakes. “It’s okay, I gotcha,” Serena’s toddler said, as she fit the plastic toppings on each of her dad’s cupcakes.

“Such sportsmanship from the bake-off competition,” Alexis mockingly commentated. Talking about the ‘competitors’ (himself and Olympia), Alexis described how “they’re not in it for the cash prize, or anything other than the love of the bake”. Clearly, Serena Williams’ sportsmanship spirit has found its way in her daughter as well!

Then, Alexis moved on to “fundamentals”, showing off three collector cards to Olympia. The cards had popular superheroes Captain America, Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk printed on them. Even though Olympia did not recognize Iron Man, she easily named Captain America and The Hulk. In fact, she even stated that her favorite was the latter, repeating his iconic line, “Hulk smash!”

Then, Alexis helped her name Iron Man, by making her repeat after him, the iconic words from the Marvel movie in 2009. In the end, even Olympia had spoken the iconic line, “I am Iron Man”.

Serena Williams is over the moon about ‘King Richard’ Oscar nominations

After the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science named ‘King Richard‘ for six nominations, Serena Williams could not contain her excitement. Both Serena and Venus Williams have co-produced the movie.

The movie tells the story of Venus and Serena, and their rise against incredible odds to become the ultra-successful tennis stars they are today. Taking to Instagram, Serena congratulated everyone involved in the making of the movie, expressing how she was “definitely crying”.

Moreover, she also motivated everyone reading, sharing how “everyone can dream and your dream can come true”. After all, the 23-time Grand Slam champion went “from Compton to Wimbledon to Academy awards”.

Surely, Serena and Venus would be over the moon, having made their father proud by telling the world his story.
