The Polish tennis star had a grand meeting with Serena in Flushing Meadows. She took to Twitter to share a picture of their meeting. Additionally, she had words of praise for the American legend, saying, So…this is the highlight of my day. Congratulations on your amazing journey and legendary career @serenawilliams. Huge respect for everything that you have done for our sport.”

Although Serena and Swiatek have never faced off against each other, the latter has always been a big admirer of Serena. She even wished to face Serena before the 23-time Grand Slam champion hangs up her boots. However, the two are on the opposite side of the draw and will only face off in the final of the tournament, which remains a remote possibility.
