Coco Gauff‘s domination seems to have had a positive impact on her new doubles partner. The US Open champion decided to travel the road to the French Open title with Katerina Siniakova for the first time. Although it was a decision made just two days before the start of the tournament, their presence in the final match stunned the whole world, especially with the magical return game.

The whole tennis world is currently celebrating the massive win of Coco Gauff and her doubles partner at Roland Garros. While the duo took down their Italian rivals Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini in straight sets, their game had several elements that deserve appreciation. During the second set, one of Errani’s serves grabbed the attention of fans, and because of this, fans stepped forward to slam her credibility.

A fan, taunting the Italian duo because of the poor serve, wrote, “How they even make the final!?” This didn’t just come up on the particular shot but raised questions about Errani’s overall presence in the tournament. Another fan, mentioning the fact that the serve didn’t even target the hitting area, wrote, “It didn’t even register on the radar gun.” 

Errani’s serve lacked power to a notable extent. A fan wrote, “More to the point why is Siniakova stood on the baseline for this?“. While the ball could barely make it to the middle of the court, a fan teased the Italian duo with the fact that Siniakova was positioned on the baseline.

“She made a singles final at French Open with that serve,” a fan said, slamming Jasmine Paolini’s presence in the singles final against Iga Swaitek. This made it clear that fans lost faith in Paolini because of the mistake committed by her partner.

Another fan, stepping forward in support of Paolini, wrote, “Jazmine was playing solo!!😭😭” While there were a few who disregarded the singles finalist, some thought the doubles defeat was solely because of Sara Errani.

With these and several other comments on a similar note, fans furiously came forward to slam the Italian duo. Although they made enough efforts to get through, Gauff’s adorable chemistry with her new doubles partner didn’t let them breathe enough!

Coco Gauff reveals her newly developed friendship with her doubles partner

Coco Gauff’s post-victory speech came out to be an influential one. As the young prodigy managed to secure her first-ever grand slam doubles title, she also narrated the story behind a new bond developed on and off the courts, along with her new doubles partner Katerina Siniakova.

“Thank you Katerina for playing with me! We decided two days before the tournament started, to play together, it was very last minute, I wasn’t planning on playing doubles,” Gauff said, regarding Siniakova as the reason behind her doubles participation.

Along with that, she also extended her regards to Katerina’s father for the incredible time spent together throughout the event. “Thank you to my team and Katerina’s dad (chuckling). Its been a fun two weeks with you guys.”

Coco Gauff’s strength seemed to be doubled while she shared the court with her Czechian partner. As they have added a medal to their bond, there are high chances of seeing them play together more often.
