American tennis has produced many iconic tennis players over the years. From Billie Jean King to the Bryan brothers, they have enthralled the tennis fans during their careers. Amongst the elite group, is Serena Williams.

The younger Williams sister has dominated women’s tennis for over 20 years now. Her first major achievement was in the year 1999 when she defeated Martina Hingis in the summit clash to win the US Open. Since then, she has gone on to add 22 Grand Slam titles, the most in the Open era.

However, Serena is suffering from injuries recently. It has kept her out of action since June last year. The 40-year-old has utilized her time away from the court to be with her family. Recently, she gave glimpses of an outing with her family.

Serena Williams goes sightseeing with her family

Alexis Ohanian and Olympia accompanied Serena for sightseeing. She posted a series of stories on her official Instagram handle, where the trio was seen spending quality time with each other. In one of the stories, Serena said, “Sightseeing, never done sightseeing,” while showcasing the view of the surrounding place.

Further, when spotting a statue, she said, “I think it’s Hercules. But his abs were like ripped.” Alexis Ohanian was seen carrying his daughter Olympia in his arms as the family enjoyed a wonderful outing.

While Serena is away from tennis, she has ensured to spend quality time with her daughter. The mother-daughter duo shares some glimpses of their adorable moments on social media platforms, such as Instagram. Moreover, Serena also gives tennis lessons to her daughter.

Serena Williams is out of action since she suffered a hamstring injury at last year’s Wimbledon. Her absence has severely affected her rankings, dropping to Number 241 in the world. However, she recently admitted to being back to light training. She stated that she wants to enjoy the remainder of her career and not take any pressure on her comeback.
