Coco Gauff surely knows how to lift her companion’s mood. Known for her extremely friendly personality, Gauff has been a silent admirer of Danielle Collins. Now that her friend shares about her life’s ups and downs on social media, Gauff rushes back to compliment the “best energy” she has met in her professional career.

Collins lost to Olga Danilovic in the French Open tour’s second round. However, the interviewers still bombarded her with retirement questions. Channeling her positive self, Collins wrote- “ I will be pampering myself with some self care over the next few days. I’m feeling really happy to finally get to enjoy some of my favorite activities and be reunited with Mr.Q 🐶⛳️🧘‍♀️🌊👙I will be back feeling refreshed and recharged for grass court season.” 

Coco Gauff dropped her praise for Danielle Collins as she commented on the Miami Open winner’s long Instagram post. “The best energy on and off the court! “-wrote the reigning US Open champion. However, Danielle Collins’s fans were surprised when they found out Coco Gauff’s comment under the post.

Collins’s journey has been full of ups and downs. Mentioning her struggles in her post, she wrote, “the conversations with media around explaining my health challenges, being asked over and over again to justify my success, and constantly being questioned about retiring and wanting to start a family have been really draining”. Nevertheless, the clay court season has been moderate for Collins.

Despite reaching the finals of the Strasbourg Open, this American tennis star couldn’t win against her friend Madison Keys. After that, she attempted to try her luck in Paris but that ended badly against Danilovic by 7(7)-6(3), 5-7, and 4-6. However, nothing could dismantle the spirit of Collins who simply preferred to look at the bright side of this loss with her exciting plans involving her dog, Quincy.

On the other hand, Gauff has always admired Danielle Collins. During this year’s Italian Open, the reigning US Open champion spoke great things about the Miami and Charleston Open winner. Not to forget, Collins also felt the same for the US Open champion.

During the Italian Open tour, Gauff spoke about her equation with Danielle Collins. “I think Danielle has been on a string of wins lately. I think we just all root for each other and push for each other. We speak all the time. Danielle and I, I love her,”- said the World No. 3.

Gauff further revealed- “Me and her got closer after the Billie Jean King Cup we did together. She’s just a great person honestly. I love to see her do well. I think if you ask her, she loves to see me do well,” Coco Gauff’s compliment to Danielle Collins speaks about their amazing professional bond. It also shows how Collins has been inspiring the young generation with her indomitable spirit and resilience.
