Venus and Serena Williams are two of the finest tennis players in the history of the sport. The iconic duo has dominated the WTA Tour over the last two decades, putting up staggering numbers – 30 combined Grand Slam titles to be exact. However, behind their success has been the steely determination of their father, Richard Williams.

Richard introduced the sisters to tennis and started giving lessons to them when they were only four years old. He would take them to the public tennis courts and train them. Rick Macci, their former coach, who also played a pivotal part in shaping the careers of the Williams sisters, has opened up on the personality of Richard Williams.
