Former American tennis star Martina Navratilova is among the boldest voices of tennis. The 65-year-old works as a tennis broadcaster and analyst since her retirement and is quite popular among fans for her accurate and unbiased analysis of the game.
Apart from tennis, Navratilova also keeps an eye on hot topics around the globe and is pretty vocal about the social rights of citizens. Politically, Navratilova has time and again criticized former US President Donald Trump. The former world number 1 is not a big fan of Trump’s policies and political ideologies. Recently, she took a sly dig at a Twitter user, who likely was a Trump supporter.
Navratilova takes a dig at Donald Trump

While browsing through her Twitter account, Navratilova landed on a tweet about former US President Donald Trump. In the tweet, we can see a blurry video recorded from a distance. The video is from Trump’s Virginia golf property as the former POTUS could be seen moving with a large group of people.

An excited Trump supporter commented on the video, saying, “He always wins.” Replying to the comment, the 59-time Grand Slam champion wrote, “Umm, no. He lost. Bigly.”
Navratilova is seemingly referring to Trump’s loss in the 2020 presidential election.

After going through the flurry of tweets, Navratilova found a particular one intriguing and wrote, “”And what a diverse group of individuals this is.”

Martina Navratilova on the GOAT debate
Martina Navratilova, who was widely considered by many as one of the greatest players to have ever graced the sport, recently gave her two cents over the on-going GOAT debate featuring Serena Williams.

Speaking after the last match of the American, Navratilova lauded Serena for a brilliant career. She also called Serena the best player in the last two generations. However, she refrained from calling her an all-time GOAT. Adding further, she said that it’s not fair to compare tennis players from different generations. To strengthen her claim, Navratilova also mentioned Steffi Graf with 22 Grand Slam titles. The 65-year-old didn’t consider herself in the debate as well.

The former world number one also explained how the importance of tournaments has also changed. Back in her playing days, the year-end championships used to be a huge event that she won eight times. However, today Grand Slam events are the most important of all.
