Iga Swiatek, the world’s number one tennis player, is dominating the WTA tennis court. Even though the 21-year-old tennis player excels on the court, there is one more passion that piques her curiosity. After losing the Madrid Open against world number two tennis player Aryna Sabalenka, the three-time Grand Slam champion recently discussed her alternate career if she hadn’t chosen tennis as her passion and profession.
If you are a fan of Swiatek, you are undoubtedly aware of the fact that she founded her own book club and is quite interested in reading. Even though she excels on the tennis court, she always makes time for reading and cherishes her inner reader in between her travels, practices, and competitions.

The 21-year-old tennis player is currently in Rome, getting ready for the Italian Open. And during a press conference before the tournament, the tennis star was questioned about whether she has ever written a book, not as an autobiography but in any genre, including fiction. The Polish tennis star gave a very appealing answer and, along with that, revealed a possible future of becoming a novelist.
She said, “Wait, what was the last part? I should write fiction? I don’t have imagination for that and creativity, I don’t know, maybe in the future. Honestly, like we got many propositions in Poland to write a book, but I feel like it’s totally too early, and I haven’t lived enough to write a book, so… Maybe in a few years.”
She also mentioned that while she could write an autobiography about herself in the future, it is too early and she hasn’t lived long enough to write a book. However, she disclosed the book she is now reading in the same interview.

Swiatek shares details about her current read
The tennis pro from Poland admitted that she is now reading a biography of famous European intellectual Leonardo da Vinci. She started after reading the biography of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. star Matthew Perry. She also explained why she is only 70% through writing her biography but will finish it all by the end of the competition.

Not only that, but she also disclosed the cause of the slight delay in finishing the biography. She added she is currently watching Madam Secretary, which has caused a delay in the completion of her book.
The number one tennis player in her ward always takes a break after finishing a book to offer her honest thoughts on it. She admitted that the biography of Matthew Perry had some translation errors a few days prior when she had just finished it.
