The ‘Mayor of the Internet’, having tasted significant success in his professional endeavors, tweeted his excitement about his exploits in the future.

However, the Reddit co-founder shared that all his achievements were nothing compared to his future endeavors.

According to Forbes, in 2020 Alexis Ohanian unveiled the 776 investment fund, a $150 million venture. It was the businessman’s first project since his resignation from Reddit. Subsequently, fans were surprised when the American investor asked for an African-American candidate to take his position on the Reddit’s board of directors. In 2022, he launched his  776 Fellowship Program with a $20 million commitment to climate change.

Serena Williams is a very active investor herself. 2019 marked Williams’ first time on Forbes’ annual list of the World’s Richest Self-Made Women. She has made investments in more than 50 firms over the past six years through her investment firm Serena Ventures, which has a portfolio with at least $10 million in valuation.

Ohanian had once shared details about his first job in his exemplary career

Together with Steve Huffman, a fellow Virginia grad, Ohanian co-founded the social media platform Reddit. As a high school student, Ohanian used to work at a local Pizza Hut. He worked at the job all through high school, as a waiter, and as a cook. At the job, he realized how crucial it is to take responsibility for both your own and your team’s faults. He shared that when one is picked to act as the leader, justifications don’t matter.
