Cordae and Naomi Osaka were the perfect couple, as far as their fans and the media were concerned. The two were supportive and loving of each other. They began dating in 2019 and have been going strong. The rapper and the tennis star went a step ahead in their relationship as they welcomed a baby girl, Shai, in July 2023. Osaka and Cordae have also shared several sweet moments together. However, there seems to be trouble in paradise, as their recent social media activities have sparked rumors about a surprising breakup.

Both celebrities have shared posts and made changes to their social media pages, which are pointing in the direction of a possible split. Looking at their activities, here’s why we think they might have decided to go their separate ways.

Some eyebrows were raised when she shared a post on ‘X’ where she simply wrote, “The art of loving yourself“, on September 27. As it was a seemingly innocuous post about self-love at first, it flew under the radar at the time.

However, the four-time grand slam champion reportedly shared another cryptic post on her ‘X’ page where she wrote, “I just want someone that will watch the sunset with me” on October 17, which sent the media into a frenzy. She also liked a tweet a week prior about “walking away from those that didn’t value you“. 

Moving on to her other profiles, Osaka has deleted all pictures or mentions of Cordae from her Instagram page. Cordae also missed making it into the celebrity dump of Osaka. The two stars have also unfollowed each other from all social media pages, which only added fuel to the still-growing fire.

After the cryptic messages shared by Osaka on her profile, the rapper did not write anything which outrightly pointed to a split. However, he released the music video for the song “Make Up Ya Mind”. The song is about a guy who is confused about his relationship with a woman who is sending mixed signals about love.

Additionally, Cordae has followed Osaka by deleting all pictures or posts which feature or mention Osaka on his Instagram page. Another move from Cordae that is adding more rumors is his absence in sharing a public wish to Osaka on her birthday, which was on 16th October.

The two parties have not confirmed anything about a split from their sides. Therefore, any mention of a break-up is a rumor. However, the activities on social media point to a possible split.
