Former World No.1 Serena Williams is the face of many big brands today. Over the last two decades, she has become such a huge icon of the sport that many big firms and companies have made her their brand ambassador.

Recently, Serena Williams appeared in one of the commercials of renowned fast-food franchise, Subway. In it, one can see her wearing big a huge set of headphones while advertising for the company. Interestingly, she shared the commercial on her Instagram handle as well.

“Subway has so much that’s brand new, they booked time in this ad too,” wrote Serena in the caption of the Instagram post.

It s not the first time when Serena has done something for Subway. Earlier, she has been a part of the ‘Eat Fresh Refresh’ Subway campaign in July 2021 along with NBA legend, Stephen Curry, and American Football great, Tom Brady.

Overall, 2021 has been a really poor year in Serena’s career. She is yet to win a title on the WTA Tour and hasn’t even performed well at Grand Slams.

The Australian Open 2021 was the best tournament this year for her where she crushed many big players and entered the semi-finals. Even though Naomi Osaka defeated her there, she played some really attacking tennis that impressed fans.

Once again, Serena failed to play well on clay. Even though she reached the pre-quarters of the French Open 2021, she suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Elena Rybakina there. Following this, she participated at the Wimbledon Championships 2021 but injured herself in the very first match. As a result, she withdrew from the Grand Slam and hasn’t returned to the court since then.

Fans hope Serena Williams recovers soon and returns to the court before the end of this season. Will she be able to equalise Margaret Court’s tally of 24 Grand Slams before announcing her retirement?
