Accordingly, she has now decided to pass down her experience to the younger generation. For this, Serena has partnered with Cloud9 and will coach its Training Grounds ‘Champion’s Mindset’ course. 

Notably, Cloud9 is the leading program for the development of eSports players, whose Training Ground program received enormous success in online seminars last year. Hence, it is now on its way to becoming a part of the afterschool curriculum free of cost. And who better to teach Champion’s Mindset than the tennis queen Serena Williams herself.

Serena Williams takes a new initiative in the eSports category

In this course, Serena helps young eSports players to understand the importance of Champions Mindset. Moreover, she also provides details on how to build one. Given the course’s purpose, the 40-year-old is happy to help.

“Hard-work, practice and dedication are so important when you’re working to become the best and make your dreams come true, whether that be in sport or something different,” Serena said. “As an advisor on Cloud9, I am excited to team up on their Training Grounds program to help nurture these skills in students everywhere.”

Indeed, such lessons from Serena will lay the foundation for a better eSports players’ community. That is why Samir Bolar, Executive Director at Training Grounds, is also excited to get Serena on board.

When will Serena return to the tennis tour?

Until now, Serena has not announced when and where she could return in 2022. However, fans hope to see her compete at the first annual Grand Slam, the Australian Open, next year.
