American tennis legends Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova are renowned for their friendship off the court as much as their epic battles on it. Now, in their current role as commentators and pundits, the two try their best to remain unbiased and give an accurate analysis of several matches. However, a few fans always target them on social media for their unfiltered opinions. Especially the tussle between Djokovic fans and Navratilova has become a hot topic in the recent past.

A recent tweet from Navratilova wasn’t well received by Djokovic fans. Later, Evert peeped in to have some fun. Here’s what happened.

Martina Navratilova and Rennae Stubbs recently gave their opinion on the 2022 @atp Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award nominees. Navratilova chose Felix Auger-Aliassime among the contenders. Later, some offended Djokovic fans took potshots at the 59-time Grand Slam champion for avoiding Djokovic’s name from the list of contenders.

Navratilova later expressed her disappointment over the way Djokovic fans have behaved on the past few occasions with her. Chris Evert also came up with a sarcastic tweet.

“@felixtennis would get my vote also…. Boy, @Martina, you and @rennaestubbs had a busy night tonight!!!” she wrote.

Djokovic fans have an opinion that both Evert and Navratilova don’t like the Serbian legend and have always given statements against him. This has led to heated arguments on Twitter on many occasions.

Recently, Djokovic fans had another heated debate with Navratilova on Twitter. The Serb in an interview spoke about his rivalry with Rafael Nadal and claimed that the duo has played against each other more than anyone else.

Later, Navratilova tweeted in disagreement, and Djokovic fans were all over her in no time. Chris Evert jumped in support of her long-time friend and former rival. The 67-year-old reminded the fans that Djokovic’s statement was wrong as Navratilova and Evert hold the record for the most matches played against a particular opponent (80)..
