Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, never misses out on highlighting his wife’s greatness. He has moved on from buying her card to create hype among the enthusiasts, to amassing a large collection for himself. However, this was just the beginning for the Reddit cofounder. Once away from the sports world, Ohanian now has taken it upon himself to uplift the women’s sport to another level. This transition certainly made everyone curious about Ohanian’s list of top athletes. And the LSU’s basketball player, Flau’jae Johnson, might have settled that question for once and all!

The Business dad, recently appeared in talks with the Johnson on her podcast, Best of both worlds. Sharing the snippet from their talks on his Instagram account, Ohanian revealed his top 4 athletes of all time, with the following caption: “My top 4 favorite athletes of ALL time? 👀 Well, I grew up in a football household. I’m named after a Nicaraguan boxer. And of course, I’m my wife’s biggest fan. I gave @flaujae the specifics on her “Best of Both Worlds” podcast 🔥.”

So the first one to feature on his list is his namesake, Alexis Arguello, the Nicaraguan boxer Ohanian was named after. Giving a shout-out to the boxer, as he proudly carries his name, Ohanian said, “It’s not easy for us dudes out there carrying that name, but we wear it proudly. And shout out to Alexis Arguello.” 

The list also traveled home with his wife’s name, the 23-time Grand Slam champion, Serena Williams. The proud husband embraces the “groupie” tag with relative ease. He said, “I’m my wife’s biggest fan. You could even say a groupie. I’m proud of that.”

The next one to feature in his list was the Washington Redskins (at the time) wide receiver, Art Monk, for being the “great human on and off the field.” However, the list was completed by this athlete, who has a special reason for his place on Ohanian’s list. Whenever Ohanian has a “tough board call” or “big presentation,” and he needs some extra energy to get through his day, he opts for Sean Taylor highlight videos! This is not all. When Ohanian was in deep turmoil due to his mother’s dreaded brain cancer diagnosis, it was Taylor’s game that gave him strength.

Narrating the incident which got him hooked to Taylor, he said, “My mom was diagnosed with brain cancer- one of the worst days of my life- we played Monday night football against the Cowboys. Before the game ended, Sea had this amazing hit on Patrick Crayton. I was at the bar at the time in Boston, screaming at the TV. Because Sean came when it mattered. I felt a deep, deep, deep connection to Sean.”

Such touching stories for his best four of all times revealed an unseen side of Ohanian. And also the reason behind his motivations. How the tech guy is giving his all for Angel City FC, to promote women’s football, and Athlos, to make the American track and field athlete and Olympic winner shine. The 776 founder is knee-deep in making it better for women’s sports, after seeing his wife’s struggle and glory. And finally, to be a hands-on dad to his two daughters, as he sometimes takes on the role of Olympia’s caddy. Maybe in hopes that she might join the sports world, sooner or later.

It might not be tennis for Serena Williams and Ohanian’s firstborn daughter. If Ohanian’s Instagram posts and words are to be believed, Ohanian Junior might be swinging clubs than racquets on a golf course. Almost a year ago, Ohanian shared Olympia trying her hands at golf. At first, it seemed that Olympia was trying her hands at different sports to choose one. But the recent IG update by the proud father about her golf skills makes one wonder whether it’s the Tiger Woods way for Serena Williams’ elder daughter.

Last December, Ohanian shared a picture as Olympia hit some shots, with the caption, “Sunday Daddy Caddy. She’s better than me, but I’m catching up.” However, it seems that Olympia has moved on from hitting shots to practicing, putting. Ohanian revealed Olympia’s growth in Golf in a recent IG post, as he said, “Putting pool with Jr this morning. She won a few robux off me.” 

The proud husband of the tennis legend is certainly giving back to the women sports, in every way possible. Kudos to Alexis Ohanian for his efforts!
