Serena Williams starts her US Open campaign tomorrow. The 40-year-old is all set to play in Flushing Meadows for one last time. While Serena has her focus set on the tennis court, her daughter Olympia enjoyed a day out with her dad to see a match of her team, Angel City FC. Notably, the entire Ohanian family are among the investors of the women’s soccer club.

The 39-year-old tweeted about his and Olympia’s visit to one of the away matches of the team.

Olympia goes to watch Angel City FC’s away match for the first time

Alexis Ohanian took to his Twitter account to share a picture of his four-year-old daughter Olympia. In the picture, we can see her watching the two teams lined up before the start of the match. Notably, Angel City FC took on Gotham FC at the Red Bull arena in New York. This was the first time Olympia witnessed an away game of Angel City FC.

“Youngest owner in pro sports getting ready for her first @weareangelcity Away Game Secured 3 points. Great business trip,” Ohanian wrote in the caption.

Tomorrow, the 23-time Grand Slam champion will start her journey at the US Open 2022. The 40-year-old has already declared in her essay for Vogue magazine that she will hang her racket after the current season. In her last Grand Slam tournament, Serena is going to face the world No. 80 Danka Kovinic in the tournament opener.

Talking about her form, the 40-year-old comes into the tournament after an absolute thrashing from the hands of US Open defending champion Emma Raducanu. The former world number 1 has played only four singles matches this year, winning only one of them.

However, her record at the US Open suggests something different. The American has never lost a first-round match in the US Open. Her worst performance at Flushing Meadows was in her first appearance in 1998 when she lost in the third round. With a contrasting form this time, it will be interesting to see if the legend can live up to her reputation.
