Is Alexis Ohanian setting a new standard for modern fatherhood, or is it just hype?

“There’s two humans now whose opinion I really care about, and they’re my kids,” Alexis Ohanian once said about his daughters, and those words still strike a chord today. The husband of tennis icon Serena Williams isn’t just a business powerhouse—he’s a hands-on, doting father who constantly celebrates the love he has for his little girls. Ohanian has set the bar high once again when it comes to Dad Goals. His latest heartfelt post, dedicated to his daughters, expressed his unwavering dedication as a father.

Ohanian is often seen making extra efforts for his daughters. Whether it’s taking them to visit their favorite places or enjoying leisure time with them at home, the Reddit co-founder has frequently shown immense affection for his girls. He hasn’t shied away from taking his elder daughter Olympia to his workplace, as seen at Athlos NYC, an all-women sporting event. For Olympia’s 7th birthday on September 1, the father-daughter even took a trip to NYC—photos of which Ohanian shared on Instagram—visiting Milk Bar, and the American Girl Store, among other places. Have you checked out the adorable pictures yet? On a similar note, the father has once again demonstrated the same love for Olympia and Adira on social media.

Taking to X, Ohanian shared a heartfelt post for his daughters. “I’m so proud to be a father to two amazing little girls,” he wrote. Ohanian and his legendary wife, Williams, welcomed their first daughter, Olympia, in 2017. Their second daughter, Adira, was born in 2023 after the tennis star hung up her racquet in 2022 to grow their family. In the post, Ohanian expressed how blessed he is to have them in his life.

An absolute blessing,” the 41-year-old wrote. Interestingly, this is not the first time Ohanian has highlighted his gratitude for being a father of two daughters. Similar sentiments were expressed during the Business Dad Podcast’s June 16th episode, when he engaged in a conversation with José Andrés, a restaurateur and chef.

Speaking in the interview, Ohanian said, “As a fellow girl dad, you know, I don’t know if we’ll have more kids. Maybe you know, God willing, but uh, with two daughters, I have my whole worldview turned upside down. And it was so eye-opening and I love it. They are such sweet, kind, wonderful creatures. I just love them.” He has often promoted the importance of spending quality time with family and children.

Alexis Ohanian believes that children should be given extra attention during their formative years. He has also revealed that “having children was one of the best things” he has ever done, “not just personally, but also professionally.” In another conversation, the entrepreneur also shared how little Adira—now 14 months old—has been a game changer in the family, bringing out her sisters maternal instincts.“She’s able to have a lot more fun with her sister in terms of playing. You can already see the interactions between them. It’s a big age gap, and Olympia has a little bit of that maternal spirit. She’s like, ‘This is my baby,’ and it’s great to see them together.”

Ohanian has frequently expressed his love for his family and acknowledged the significant role Serena Williams has played in his life. In a candid discussion, he opened up about the challenges of parenthood and how the process helped him overcome some of his negative traits. He also emphasized the help Serena provided in his journey to becoming a great dad.

When asked, “What do you think is the key to home life?” Ohanian opened up about his initial days after college. “In my 20s, I was a first-time CEO, right out of college. I squandered so many hours because I didn’t appreciate the routine and the discipline because I was my own boss. But he did not fail to thank his wife, who helped her overcome the trait.

“Becoming a father at 34-35, I knew I had to bring that (discipline and routine) into my life.” He further shared his emotions about Williams. It didn’t hurt that my wife has lived an incredibly regimented life since she was a little kid, so she’s been an amazing influence and you just find a way to make it work.”
