After those killer Super Bowl dance moves, Serena Williams is back in her element – at a sports game! But where? On Saturday night, the 23-time Major winner was spotted in attendance during an MLS encounter between Inter Miami’s match against New York City FC. It seemed like a repeat from two years ago. How? Back in 2023, Williams had cheered for David Beckham’s owned Miami soccer team as she was left in awe of Lionel Messi’s last-minute goal against Cruz Azul. This time, too, soccer was the highlight, but the attention was also on Williams bonding with her ‘soul sister’. Who’s the mystery gal?

So, the Inter Miami game ended in a draw, 2-2. But the real action was off the field! Serena hopped on Instagram to share all the fun. Beckham gave her a big hug and an Inter Miami jersey – talk about a VIP experience! MLS even posted about it, saying, “Wouldn’t be Miami without a star sighting @davidbeckham 🤝 @serenawilliams.” And get this, she also caught up with her pal Eva Longoria. Total A-list night!

Initially, the Desperate Housewives star shared a story with an image, striking a pose with Williams. While she donned an all-black outfit, ReRe was sporting a blue jeans, paired with a white cut sleeve, V-neck top. Looking at it, Longoria wondered, “Why do we pose the same? 😂😂😂”

It didn’t take long for Williams to reply to her close friend. The former World No.1 wrote, “Cause we are sisters!” on her social media.

As one can see, both of them are appearing in an identical stance. But guess what? The two share an identical perspective, too, thanks to their longtime bond.

Looking at Eva Longoria’s long-running sisterhood with Serena Williams

For the uninitiated, Serena Williams and Eva Longoria first met as early as 2022. And guess what? Their meeting happened during David and Victoria Beckham’s son, Brooklyn’s wedding. Along with Longoria, Williams was in Florida to help her good friend Victoria celebrate at the wedding. Back then, ReRe was seen sharing several candid moments with Longoria.

Oh, and just like Serena, Longoria’s a mother too! The WTA icon gave birth to her first daughter, Olympia, in 2017. A year later, Longoria welcomed her son, Santiago Enrique Bastón. So there’s that connection as well, and it was on full display in 2022 when Longoria came forward in supporting Williams over a serious cause.

In early 2022, Williams hanged her racket and said goodbye to tennis following a career spanning two decades. However, she had a strong reaction to her retirement while reflecting on the double standards regarding working mothers. “If I were a guy, I wouldn’t be writing this because I’d be out there playing and winning while my wife was doing the physical labor of expanding our family,” she said, as reported by PopSugar in August 2022.

Her thought was stressing on the challenges of leaving her profession in order to focus primarily on being a mother. Agreeing with Williams, Longoria later said, “She’s absolutely right,” reported People magazine in August 2022. Continuing further, she added, “If this were a different time, if the genders were switched, she wouldn’t have to take years off to breastfeed. Years off from healing from a C-section and a near-d—- experience.”

Emphasizing more on her opinion, she said, “The mom who is a teacher also has to understand, ‘How do I balance work and family?’ The woman who is a dentist has to say, ‘How do I balance my career and family?’ You know, we all bear that cross.” Simply put, “Women are multitaskers, decision makers, problem solvers,” she added. Later, the two were later seen hanging out at another event.

In November 2023, they had a blast during a musical concert in Miami featuring Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull. After their latest meeting on Saturday night, it becomes clear that these two are ‘soul sisters’ indeed. Don’t you think so?
