‘Goofy in Love’ – Chris Evert’s Brother’s Timeless Reaction Once on Seeing His Sister Together With Legendary Golfer Greg Norman

Chris Evert is a legend of tennis. Each and every step she took while in the game was well thought out and excellently executed. However, unlike her very successful career, her personal life went through some rough patches.

First, in the year 1979, at the age of 24, she married fellow tennis professional John Lloyd. Then she tried to find her forever in the Olympic Skier Andy Mill after splitting ways with Lloyd in 1987. Thereafter, she fell for the Australian golfer Greg Norman but unfortunately couldn’t work that as well. But regardless of that, she had some of the best days of her life.

Evert and Norman tied the knot in 2008 after a messy disentanglement with their respective spouses. The couple traveled to Egypt and South Africa for a dream honeymoon and were still full of love when returned. So much so that it made her younger brother, John Evert, a bit uncomfortable. In a 2009 interview, he said, “They’re goofy in love. They hold hands and kiss in public, and you don’t want to be around them in a private setting.”

“I’m like, ‘Guys, could you take it somewhere else?'” He chuckled and confessed. John Evert is very close to the seven times French Open champion and is also the founder and managing partner of the ‘Evert Tennis Academy’.

However, the 18 times Grand Slam champion’s third marriage lost its fire rather quickly. Both the athletes, according to their close friends and family, failed to build a bond with each other’s children from former marriages and decided to part ways. They walked out of the 18 month long marriage with a secret divorce filed in an obscure Florida courthouse in 2010.

About Everts’ kids

The former World no.1, after parting ways with 1977 Australian Open finalist, stayed in marriage with Mill for a period of 18 years. In those years, the couple welcomed three children.

They welcomed their first child in 1991 and named him Alexander. Then, after three years, Nicholas arrived, and soon the family of five was completed by Colton. Although Mill and Evert are not together, they supported each other. Mill stayed by the veteran’s side in her fight with cancer. He supported her and accompanied her to chemotherapy sessions till she was declared free of the disease.
