Aryna Sabalenka fans worldwide are waiting for May 5 to come around. After all, it would mark the Belarusian’s 25th birthday. However, Sabalenka herself isn’t probably as excited about it as her fans. After all, careers in tennis tend to be short, and very few players have the drive that the likes of Roger Federer had. For instance, in 2018, when Federer was already 36 years old, the Swiss Maestro was still aiming to be the oldest World No. 1. Age seems to have caught up with Sabalenka faster, according to her latest interview.
The World No. 2 revealed how she felt she is getting old going into her 25th birthday. Right now, Sabalenka is hoping to win the Madrid Open, and her most recent match saw her defeating Colombian Camila Osorio in the tournament’s round of 32.

Turning 25 for most is not a big deal. However, Sabalenka is probably dreading the fact that there are only a few days to go before she turns 25.
When Amritraj quizzed Sabalenka regarding her birthday plans, Sabalenka said, “I’m gonna cry all day long because I’m getting old you know”. Amritraj, clearly amused by Sabalenka’s response, said, “the girl’s turning 25.”
