Evaluating her gameplay and her performance on the basis of her recent matches, he breaks down the true picture of how her run is going to be at this year’s SW19.

Clinching a Grand Slam title is a dream of every tennis player. Gauff has been pushing herself hard to clinch her maiden title at Wimbledon this year. Gauff started off the year with a victory at ASB Classic. However, after that, Gauff’s lack of victories portrays a gloomy picture for her Wimbledon run this year.
John McEnroe’s brother Patrick McEnroe delved deep into the same issue in a podcast Holding Court. He dwelled on the chances of Gauff winning the Wimbledon this year. He stated, “Coco is a little bit more of a question mark.” Patrick McEnroe looked at her rankings and her recent performances which were satisfactory but not good enough to clinch a major title. He said, “Coco Gauff who’s sitting at seven in the rankings. She’s also playing this week. Had a couple of good wins thus far.”
However, despite weighing all these things, he gave a gloomy verdict on Gauff. He stated, “I still think it’s hard for her to go all the way.”?
Gauff has been pitched as American’s dearest hope for the Wimbledon title. However, there are some resilient competitors she can not deny facing on the court.

Given that Gauff’s contenders are going to be former Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina, Australian Open champion Aryna Sabalenka, and world no. 1 Iga Swiatek, the competition is definitely going to be tough. Apart from that, Venus Williams is also going to be a part of this year’s Wimbledon as a wild-card entry player.
Moreover, her disheartening loss against an injured Madison Keys at the Eastbourne International semi-finals is not proving things in her favor. Nonetheless, Gauff is not letting the pressure get to her head. She is training hard for her favorite season’s major and is all geared to give her best.
